Shipping Advice
Getting Your Space Capsule Delivered Safely
All space capsules are delivered through international shipping methods.
If you have never shipped a product from China before, it can be a confusing and stressful experience due to the numerous rules and regulations that you and the space capsule manufacturer must follow.
Understanding the specific policies of international shipping and ensuring all necessary paperwork is collected for customs clearance is essential. In addition to laws and regulations, time zones, language barriers, and currency exchanges all make international shipping more complex than domestic shipping.
We strongly recommend that you use a verified shipping agent that specializes in transporting space capsules, as there are many factors to consider before shipping a space capsule.
How is your Space Capsule Packaged for Transport
When a Space capsule is getting ready to be transported, meticulous care is taken to wrap both the Interior and exterior in multiple layers of paper, Plastic, bubble wrap and a heavy-duty Tarpaulin protection wrap. This will protect the Space capsule from the elements and transport procedures. Here is an example of two mid-sized Space capsules getting ready for transport.
Shipping of Space Capsules
Depending on what size space capsule you purchase will determine what type of shipping method will be required. There are three main methods of shipping used to transport Space Capsules.
Large – Medium Size Capsules (Pre-assembled)
These preassembled space capsules are thoroughly wrapped for protection and placed on a 40-foot flat rack shipping container.
This type of container allows for oversized freight to be transported internationally, ensuring that your space capsule arrives safely and intact.
Narrow Capsules
20-foot or 40-foot high cube container
Narrow capsules have been designed to fit into a 20-foot or 40-foot High cube container. Shipping in a container to your final destination is a clever solution for protecting your space capsules during transport!
Flat Pack (assemble yourself capsules)
20-foot or 40-foot high cube container
Depending on the size of the flat pack capsule you purchase, your capsule will be sent in either a 20-foot or 40-foot high cube container. Once the container arrives at your destination, simply unpack it and start assembling the space capsule. Please note: the containers are packed in an order that provides each piece sequentially, preventing you from having
to unpack the entire container.

Common Scams
Beware of Scam Suppliers & Poor-Quality Space Capsules
A significant warning is issued to anyone looking to purchase a space capsule. In today's digital age, online scammers are increasingly targeting buyers by pretending to be legitimate space capsule manufacturers or authorized sales agents.
Where Scammers are Targeting
Scammers often target consumers on the following
platforms:
• Alibaba.com
• AliExpress.com
• Amazon.com
• Globalsources.com
• Made-in-China.com
• Facebook.com
While these websites are reputable, they may lack
sufficient security measures to verify the true identity
and intentions of sellers.

Common Types of Space Capsule Scams
1. Phishing Scam: Scammers create mirror images of manufacturer websites, using manipulation tactics to create convincing fake links on platforms like Alibaba, Made-In-China, AliExpress, and Facebook. These links lead to phony websites that look exactly like the manufacturer’s site. Despite thorough research, these fake sites can be very convincing. For example, scammers may open an unverified Alibaba profile using the details of a legitimate company, create phishing websites, and pretend to sell that company’s Space Capsule brand. Once you pay, the capsule never arrives.
2. Smishing Tactics: Scammers send links to your smartphone via SMS messages or URLs, which are stored on your phone, making it harder to find the genuine manufacturer's website.
3. CEO Fraud: Scammers send messages pretending to be from the CEO or another executive, asking you to transfer money.
4. Commerce Scams: Scammers offer space capsules at prices that seem too good to be true and try to move the conversation to email or chat apps. Once you pay, they stop responding, and the goods never arrive.
5. Premium Quality Sample, Poor Quality Order: Clients inspect a high-quality display model but receive orders with inferior finishings and low-quality accessories.
6. Price Increase After Order: Suppliers quote an unbeatable price to lure you in, then increase the price citing rising raw material costs after you’ve invested time and money.
7. Fake Product Compliance Certificates: Suppliers provide forged or expired compliance certificates, potentially leaving your order stuck at customs or costing you thousands to obtain the proper certificates.
8. Changing Products Without Notice at Dispatch: Suppliers agree to provide a specific model but deliver a completely different one. Ensure you receive photos or a live video for a pre-delivery inspection before making your next instalment payment.
9. Advance Fee Fraud: Scammers request upfront fees such as consultancy, legal, shipping, or deposit fees under convincing pretences. They often ask for international wire transfers, which are difficult to trace and recover.

Quality & Value Scores Explained
Our goal is to help potential buyers make well-informed decisions before purchasing a space capsule home. We do this by providing both a Quality Score and a Value Score for each space capsule home listed on our website.
Why We Provide Quality Scores & Value Scores
Quality Scores
1. Quality Scores
-
A Quality Score is the final score allocated to a space capsule based on awarding points for various aspects, including manufacturing procedures, capsule layouts, materials used, building compliance certificates, lighting, appliances, energy efficiency, safety and security, warranties, and more.
-
The score is determined by visiting the manufacturer's factory or contacting the manufacturer directly to request detailed information about their space capsules.
-
The manufacturer must complete a detailed questionnaire containing 149 key questions that must be answered to generate a Quality Score for each area of the space capsule. (There are 369 different possible answerable combinations).
-
Once this information is obtained, we verify it by visually inspecting the capsules or by reviewing the returned information along with supporting evidence, such as photographs or certifications.
-
We then allocate a score based on preset values for each of the 149 questions.
We then total the scores awarded to that capsule and give it a final score out of a possible 550 points.
For example, if a capsule obtains a quality score of 425 points out of a possible 550 allocatable points compared to another capsule that has only obtained a score of 230 points, it’s clear that, the first capsule is of a higher building quality standard.
This assessment ensures that we provide accurate, non-biased, and reliable Quality Scores for each space capsule.

Value Scores
2. Value Scores
The most common question we receive is, "Which capsule offers better value for money?" To answer this complicated question, we created a formula called a "Value Score."
The Value Score formula compares all space capsules of the same size against each other to determine their overall value for money. Each capsule is allocated a score between 1 and 10, with 1 being a low value score and 10 being the highest value score.

Steps to Calculate the Value Score
1. Identify the Capsule Size: Determine the size of the capsule to ensure we are comparing capsules of the same size.
2. Obtain the Retail Price: Get the recommended retail price from the manufacturer.
3. Obtain the Quality Score: Note the capsule's individual Quality Score based on its features and benefits.
4. Calculate the Product Rating Position: Divide the recommended retail price by the Quality Score to obtain the capsule's "Product Rating Position."
Example:
If the recommended retail price is $38,000 and the Quality Score is 236, we divide the price by the quality score to produce its product rating score:

By using this structured scoring approach, we ensure that each aspect of the space capsule is thoroughly evaluated and accurately scored, providing potential buyers with reliable and detailed information.
For a full breakdown of the points allocated to each capsule, simply click on the space capsule you are interested in and review the findings in the capsule's detailed description.
5. Convert the Value Rating Points to Value Score: Sort all the different capsules by their calculated Value Rating Points and apply the following formula:
Example:

So, the capsule ranked 75th out of 86 comparable capsules would receive a Value Score of 8.72 (The higher the Score the better).
This calculation helps potential buyers quickly identify which capsules offer the best value for their money.
By using this structured scoring approach, we ensure that each aspect of the space capsule is thoroughly evaluated and accurately scored, providing potential buyers with reliable and detailed information.
